Dale Chrystie is Business Fellow and Web3/Blockchain Strategist for FedEx, focused on redesigning the trust layer of global commerce.

He is known for advancing the shift from 3,000 years of paper-based trade infrastructure to digital-native, verifiable data systems capable of supporting programmable, cross-border commerce. His work bridges enterprise transportation operations with distributed technologies, helping translate Web3 from theory into real-world supply chain transformation.

In 2017, he led FedEx’s first blockchain proof of concept — an early signal that distributed trust would reshape how goods, data, and value move globally. Today, he advocates for building an open, interoperable digital foundation for global supply chains through pro-competitive “coopetition” among enterprises, standards bodies, and policymakers.

He serves as Chair of the BITA Standards Council (a GBBC entity) and represents the United States as a GBBC Global Ambassador. His work has been recognized with the inaugural Enterprise Blockchain Award for Enterprise & Industry Leadership (2019) and the Blockchain Leadership Award – Advocacy & Education (2022).
